The Empire State Building has been a staple of NYC since it was completed in 1931. Growing up right outside New York City, every time I took a trip into New York, the Empire State Building is what left an impression on me.

In the summer of 2020, midst the pandemic, I was commissioned for a commercial architectural shoot in the Flatiron district of NYC. From the 18th floor of the high-rise building I was shooting, I had this clear view of the Empire State Building. I knew it would come together for an incredible shot. During a break I grabbed my camera and was able to snap a few pics.

So much taller than the surrounding buildings, I knew it would fit my style perfectly, standing all by itself, taller then everything else around it for so many decades.
